Natasha Dematra
adalah seorang sutradara, penulis, aktivis, aktris, penyanyi, pencipta lagu,
produser, editor, pembicara, Duta Perdamaian, Duta HAM, Duta
Toleransi, Duta Perempuan, Duta Lingkungan Hidup, Duta Kreatifitas
dan world-traveller. Dia telah menerima lebih dari 150 penghargaan
untuk karya-karyanya dibidang penyutradaraan, akting, menyanyi,
produser, penulisan lagi, fotografi, editing, dan karya sosialnya.
Sebagai sutradara, dia memulai karirnya dalam usia 11 tahun
dimana dia dianugerahi penghargaan sebagai sutradara film panjang
perempuan termuda di dunia oleh Royal World Records dan Museum Rekor
Dunia MURI. Dia telah menyutradarai 4 film panjang seperti; (Mama
Aku Harus Pergi-2009), (Tears of Ghost-2015), (Dream-Post
Production), (Angel in America-Post Production). Dia juga telah
menyutradarai 8 film pendek dan film musik termasuk film musik yang
meraih penghargaan Earth. Natasha telah menerima penghargaan dalam
karirnya di bidang penyutradaraan seperti Sutradara Terbaik untuk
filmnya Tears Of Ghost, Medali Emas sebagai Sutradara Terbaik di
IIFA, USA dan Medali Emas Sutradara Paling Menjanjikan dan Sutradara
Muda Terbaik dari GIFA, USA. Pada bulan April 2016, Natasha
mendapatkan predikat Sutradara Pendatang Baru Terbaik dari American
Movie Awards. Di tahun 1982 festival flm bergengsi ini memberikan
penghargaan kepada Steven Spielberg. Dengan penghargaan ini, Natasha
memecahkan rekor sebagai Sutradara Perempuan Asia pertama yang
mendapatkan predikat tersebut. Meryl Streep dan aktor-aktris
Hollywood lainnya pernah mendapatkan penghargaan dari festival
tersebut. Filmnya Tears Of Ghost diluncurkan bersama dengan film
aktor peraih Oscar, Philip Seymour Hoffman di Asia Pacific Filmmaker
Festival.
Sebagai aktris, dia dikenal sebagai pemeran utama di film layar
lebar L4 Lupus-2010, Dream Obama-2011, I'm Star-2013, Let's Play,
Ghost-2013, Tears Of Ghost-2015 dan From Seoul To Jakarta-2017.
Khusus untuk perannya sebagai gadis buta di film Dream Obama Natasha
beradu peran dengan artis senior Ayu Azhari dan Pong Hardjatmo.
Harian Kompas dalam reviewnya memberikan pujian yang tinggi untuk
aktingnya yang luar biasa di film tersebut. Natasha telah
memenangkan banyak penghargaan dalam karir aktingnya termasuk Award
of Excellence untuk perannya dalam Let's Play Ghost, Dream Obama,
I'M Star. Gold Reel Award untuk perannya dalam Let's Play, Ghost dan
Platinum Award untuk perannya dalam film L4 Lupus, Gold Award untuk
perannya dalam Dream Obama, dan Gold Award funtuk perannya dalam I'm
Star. Ia juga dinominasikan Aktris Terbaik di festival St. Tropez
International Film Festival, Madrid International Film Festival
danItaly International Film Festival untuk perannya di From Seoul To
Jakarta. Ia juga mendapatkan penghargaan untuk perannya di film
Tears Of Ghost. Seperti Aktris Pemeran Utama Terbaik dari
International Independent Film Awards. Hingga kini, Natasha masih
memegang predikat Aktris Terbaik dari Mountain Film Festival dan
Aktris Terbaik dari Yosemite International Film Festival. Natasha
juga memegang predikat Aktor Terbaik di bawah 18 tahun dari Global
Independent Film Awards. Hingga kini, ia telah meraih 40 penghargaan
dalam karir aktingnya.
Sebagai penyanyi, Natasha telah meraih 45 penghargaan dalam untuk
lagu dan film musiknya. Ia memulai debutnya sebagai penyanyi di
tahun 2014 untuk beberapa soundtrack film From Seoul To Jakarta. Hingga
kini, dia telah merekam lebih dari 50 lagu dalam dua bahasa. Ia
memperoleh penghargaan 2 Bronze Awards untuk lagunya Salut Untuk
Jokowi dan lagu perdamaian One Love For All dari Global Music
Awards. Dia bahkan terpilih sebagai Penyanyi Wanita Terfavorit dan
Juara Umum Terfavorit dengan hampir 40.000 vote dukungan dari
seluruh dunia. Medali Emas Best Original Song dan Best Music Video.
Pemenang di ajang Prestige Music Awards. Nominasi soundtrack terbaik
di Utah Music Awards, dan diundang untuk tampil langsung di The
Covey Centre, Utah, USA. Pada Hari Perdamaian Sedunia, 22 September
2015 Natasha meluncurkan album perdananya yang bertajuk One Love dan
diluncurkan oleh artis dan produser legendaris Hollywood, Alice
Krige bersama sineas internasional. Pada Hari Toleransi Dunia, 16
November 2015 Natasha kembali meluncurkan album keduanya yang
bertajuk “Cinta Untuk Semua” album ini diluncurkan di Auditorium
Radio Republik Indonesia (RRI) oleh Direktur Utama RRI, Dra.
Rosarita Niken Widiastuti, MSi. Pada bulan Maret 2016, Natasha
Dematra meluncurkan album film musik bertajuk "Karena Aku Perempuan”
untuk menginspirasi kaum perempuan akan kesetaraan gender. Album ini
diluncurkan bersama Menteri Sosial, Khofifah Indar Parawansa dan
Menteri Lingkungan Hidup dan Kehutanan, Siti Nurbaya Bakar.
Sebagai editor, Natasha mengedit lagsung film musik dan film-filmnya.
Ia pun telah meraih beberapa penghargaan Best Editor di berbagai
festival internasional termasuk Medali Emas Best Editor di ajang
IIFA, USA.
Sebagai produser, Natasha telah menerima Film Terbaik dari
berbagai festival di dunia. Termasuk Juara Umum Grand Jury Prize
dari Amsterdam International Film Festival. Hingga kini, ia telah
memproduseri 14 film.
Sebagai penulis lagu, Natasha telah menulis 20 lagu dalam dua
bahasa. Salah satu inspirasinya saat menulis lagu adalah lewat
kegalauan batinnya seperti yang terjadi dengan lagu “Smile” yang
ditulisnya dalam waktu 10 menit saat ia sedang memikirkan tentang
memberikan yang terbaik kepada dunia yang terbaik sebelum kembali ke
Tuhan saat waktunya tiba.
Pada bulan Januari 2016, Natasha untuk pertama kalinya mengadakan
pameran foto yang berjudul #SAVEINDONESIA. Pameran ini mengambil
potret-potret keindahan Indonesia yang dibuat untuk mempromosikan
Indonesia. Seluruh hasil dari penjualan foto-foto tersebut akan
digunakan untuk kepentingan sosial. Los Angeles Cinefest memilih
foto Natasha yang berjudul "The Roof" sebagai Foto Terbaik di
festival tersebut.
Untuk merayakan Hari Lingkungan Hidup Sedunia, Natasha
meluncurkan film musik “Lagu Untuk Alam.” Film musik ini diharapkan
dapat membangun kesadaran kepada dunia akan pentingnya melindungi
bumi yang kita tinggali ini. Dilanjutkan dengan peluncuran lagu
“Bumiku” yang diluncurkan pada bulan September 2016 dalam perayaan
PBB Hari Perdamaian Sedunia.
Dalam sela-sela kesibukannya, Natasha tetap menyempatkan diri
untuk traveling. Ia telah mengunjungi Australia, Asia, Eropa, dan
Amerika. Dalam tur backpacked Amerikanya yang berlangsung selama 4
bulan, Natasha menghadiri pelantikan kedua Presiden Barack Obama di
Washington D. C.
Pada bulan Februari 2015, Natasha Dematra meraih Gelar
Kebangsawanan dari Keraton Surakarta untuk pencapaiannya yang luar
biasa dalam usia yang sangat muda. Di akhir tahun 2015, Naatsha
kembali meraih Gelar Kebangsawanan dari Keraton Pakualaman. Pada
bulan Juni 2016, Natasha mendapatkan penghargaan “Harimau Putih”
dari Kerajaan Tallo, Makassar atas kontribusinya dalam bidang
lingkungan hidup. Pada akhir tahun 2016, Natasha diangkat sebagai
Member of The Most Esteemed Royal Family of Puri Agung Negara
Djembrana, Bali atas kontribusinya yang besar dalam bidang seni
budaya, toleransi dan kemanusiaan. Pada awal tahun 2017, Natasha
atas kontribusinya dalam menyebarkan cinta dan perdamaian dan atas
prestasinya di usia belia membuatnya dianugerahi gelar “The Most
Outstanding Personalities of 2017” oleh Puri Agung Negara Djembrana,
Bali. Natasha telah menerima banyak penghargaan Kemanusiaan,
Lingkungan Hidup, Keberagaman & Inklusi untuk semua kegiatan
sosialnya dari berbagai institusi internasional.
Pada Hari Kartini, Natasha mendapatkan predikat "Kartini Era Kini"
oleh salah satu majalah nasional. Natasha telah dundang ke berbagai
konferensi dan festival untuk mengajar dan membagikan pengalamannya.
Dimana ia menjadi pembicara utama dalam International Film Festival
Conference 2014 yang disponsori oleh Kementerian Pemuda dan Olahraga.
Ia bicara di depan ribuan anak muda dan sineas dari berbagai negara.
Ia dipuji oleh salah satu sineas dari Hollywood yang mengatakan
bahwa apa yang ia katakan patut untuk orang bayar untuk mendengarnya.
Natasha telah mengajar tentang pembuatan film di Universitas
Indonesia di depan para mahasiswa dan mahasiswi. Sejak tahun 2016,
Natasha telah menjadi juri festival film di Asia dan Amerika.
Pada HUT Hari Kemerdekaan Indonesia yang ke-71, Natasha terpilih
sebagai 1 dari 7 spirit Indonesia oleh salah satu media cetak
nasional. Uniknya, Natasha merupakan satu-satunya perempuan yang
berhasil masuk daftar tersebut. Pada bulan September, Natasha
diangkat sebagai International Director of World Environment
Movement. Sebuah gerakan sosial untuk membangun kepedulian akan
lingkungan hidup yang diluncurkan langsung oleh Menteri Lingkungan
Hidup dan Kehutanan; Siti Nurbaya Bakar, Menteri Komunikasi dan
Informatika; Rudiantara dan Menteri Pekerjaan Umum dan Perumahan
Rakyat; Basuki Hadimuljono. Pada bulan ini, Natasha dipilih oleh
Radio Hard Rock Bali untuk berbicara tentang perdamaian. Pada Hari
Sumpah Pemuda, CNN TV membuat liputan khusus dan menyebut Natasha
sebagai sineas muda Indonesia paling menjanjikan di dunia.
Natasha sebagai Duta Kreatifitas telah membuka seminar “How To Be
A Star.” Seminar ini dihadiri ratusan orang dari dalam dan luar
negeri menanyakannya pertanyaan sekitar industri film.
Pada bulan November 2016, Natasha Dematra diundang langsung untuk
datang ke Marrakesh, Maroko dalam acara United Nation Climate Change
Conference. Dalam acara ini, film musik “Bumiku” ditayangkan untuk
pertama kalinya secara internasional.
Pada bulan Desember 2016, Natasha selaku Duta HAM diundang untuk
berbicara tentang bahaya narkoba dikalangan generasi muda dalam
seminar ’Penggiat Anti Narkorba' yang diselenggarakan oleh Badan
Narkotika Nasional (BNN). Natasha sekali lagi menjadi pembicara
termuda. Di bulan ini, Natasha meluncurkan film musik “Smile” yang
diharapkan dapat membangun awareness tentang toleransi. Film
musik “Smile” menjadi viral di media sosial dengan 100.000 penonton
kurang dari 6 minggu. Masih di bulan yang sama, Natasha mendapatkan
5 Nominasi untuk filmnya Tears Of Ghost oleh festival film bergengsi
di London. Natasha menjadi satu-satunya sutradara perempuan dan
sutradara termuda yang masuk daftar nominasi Sutradara Terbaik. Pada
bulan ini, Majalah Femina Indonesia memilih Natasha dalam daftar 50
Wanita Pembuat Berita Sepanjang Tahun 2016 bersama dengan Hilarry
Clinton, Melania Trump, Angelina Jolie dan Emma Watson.
Pada Februari 2017, film musik "Bumiku" terpilih meraih Medali
Emas Soundtrack Terbaik oleh salah satu festival film di Amerika
Serikat. Pada bulan juga, Natasha meraih penghargaan Sir Edmund
Hillary Award unuk penyutradaraannya dalam film Tears Of Ghost.
Natasha meraih gelar Kebangsawanan dari Kerajaan Tallo, Makassar.
Natasha juga sangat serius akan pendidikannya dengan
menyelesaikan special course Humanitarian dari Harvard University,
Entrepreneurship dari Massachusetts Institute of Technology,
Environment Studies dari Curtin University, Counterterrorism dari
Leiden University, Diplomacy dari the University of London,
Literature dari the University of Berkeley, Filosofi dari the
University of Edinburg, Musik dan Penulisan Lagu dari Berklee
College of Music dan lain-lain.
Sebagai Duta HAM di Hari Martin Luther King 2016, Natasha
menyampaikan pidato tentang perdamaian dan kemanusiaan. Pidato ini
mendapatkan sambutan yang besar dengan mendapatkan standing applause
dari berbagai kalangan bersamaan dengan hadirin yang merasa
tersentuh dengan pidato ini.
Pada Hari Toleransi Sedunia, Natasha selaku Duta Toleransi
menyampaikan pidato tentang kaum Rohingya di Bali, Indonesia. Pidato
ini mengundang perhatian salah satu mantan Perwakilan Alternatif
Amerika untuk PBB, yang menyatakan bahwa pidato tersebut telah
menyentuh hatinya, dan bahwa apa yang diucapkannya tersebut
merupakan hal yang perlu didengungkan kepada dunia internasional
khususnya negara-negara Barat.
Pada Hari Perempuan Internasional, Natasha Dematra
dianugrahi penghargaan Kesetaraan Gender dari Puri Agung Blahbatuh.
Penghargaan diberikan atas kontribusi Natasha memperjuangkan
kesetaraan gender di usia muda. Pada Hari Kartini dan Perayaan Hari
Perempuan Internasional 2018, Natasha meluncurkan film dokumenter
PLANET 50-50. Film ini diluncurkan oleh raja dan ratu nusantara
bersama duta besar dari 6 negara. Film ini merupakan kampanye
feminisme dan panggilan hati Natasha yang melihat di zaman modern ini,
masih banyak diskriminasi kepada wanita. Film ini merupakan dukungan
penuh kepada PBB. Hingga kini, film ini telah meraih
Medali Silver dari International
Independent Film Awards (IIFA), Award of Recognition dari Accolade
Global Competition.
Natasha sebagai
International Director dari World Environment Movement
bekerja sama dengan Organisasi yang berada di Jerman "The Peace
Tree" untuk menanam pohon untuk perdamaian. Acara ini diadakan di
Bali dengan doa dan harapan bahwa perdamaian akan tersebar ke
seluruh dunia lewat alam. Natasha meraih Gelar Kebagsawanan ''Daeng''
dari Kerajaaan Tallo, Makassar. Natasha juga meraih gelar Roro Ayu
dari Keraton Amarta Bumi, Kendal.
Pada bulan Juli 2018, Natasha kembali mendapatkan gelar
Kebangsawanan dari Keraton Surakarta. Gelar Kanjeng Mas Ayu
diberikan kepada Natasha dalam acara tradisional yang sakral
tersebut. Natasha meraih penghargaan Guardian of Civilization atas
kontribusinya mempromosikan budaya dan perdamaian, Natasha sendiri
merupakan yang termuda untuk menerima penghargaan tersebut. Pada
bulan September 2018, Natasha diangkat oleh Puri Agung
Blahbatuh sebagai Princess Natasha Johana Dematra.
Pada bulan Oktober 2018, Natasha meluncurkan buku Bikin Film Itu
Gampang: Edisi Smartphone. Buku ini diterbitkan oleh BIP grup
Gramedia. Buku ini ungkap Natasha diharapkan dapat menjadi 'jembatan'
seluruh generasi untuk menyuarakan perdamaian lewat cara kreatif.
Natasha merupakan co-founder dari Visions of Peace; sebuah
initiative perdamaian yang ditujukan untuk generasi muda Indonesia
5-18 tahun.

Natasha Dematra is a film director, writer, actress,
activist,
singer, songwriter, editor, producer, public speaker and
Ambassador for Peace, Ambassador for Human Rights, Ambassador
for Tolerance, Ambassador for Women, Ambassador for Environment.
She has received more than 150 awards from directing, acting,
singing, producing, songwriting, photography, editing and for
humanitarian work.
As a director, she began her directing career
at the age of 11 where she was awarded the title 'The youngest
female director in the world for a feature film' from Museum
Rekor Dunia MURI (World Record Museum) and Royal World Records.
She has directed four feature films such as Mama, I Have to Go
in 2011, Tears of Ghost in 2015, Angel in 2017, and Dream in
Post Production. She also has directed 8 short films and music
films including the award winning Earth. Natasha has received
awards for her directing career such as Best Director for her
movie (Tears Of Ghost-2015), Emerging Filmmaker Award, Best
Under 18 Filmmaker. In April 2016, Natasha received the title
Best First-Time Director from American Movie Awards. In 1982
this festival gave an award to Steven Spielberg. With this
award, Natasha broke the record as The First Asian Woman to
received that title. Meryl Streep and other Hollywood actors
have received awards from that prestigious festival. Her film
Tears Of Ghost was launched together with Academy-Award winner’s
film Philip Seymour Hoffman in Asia Pacific Filmmaker Festival.
As an actress, she is known for her leading
roles in feature films L4 Lupus-2010, Dream Obama-2011, Let's
Play, Ghost-2013, I'm Star-2013, Tears Of Ghost-2015 and From
Seoul To Jakarta-2016. Natasha has won several awards in her
acting career such as Award of Excellence in Let's Play Ghost,
Dream Obama, I'M Star. Gold Reel Award for her role in Let's
Play, Ghost and Platinum Award for her role in L4 Lupus also
Gold Award for her role in Dream Obama, and another Gold Award
for her role in I'm Star. She was also nominated for Best Lead
Actress from St. Tropez International Film Festival, Madrid
International Film Festival and Italy International Film
Festival for her role in From Seoul To Jakarta. She also
received awards for her role in (Tears Of Ghost) such as Best
Actress in A Leading Role from International Independent Film
Awards, Best Actress from Mountain Film Festival and Best
Actress from Yosemite International Film Festival. Natasha is
holding the title; of Best Actress Under 18 from Global
Independent Film Awards. Until now, she has won more than 40
awards in her acting career.
As a singer, Natasha has received more than
45 awards for her song and music videos. She started recording
her song since 2014 where she was given the opportunity to sing
the soundtracks for her role in (From Seoul To Jakarta). Up to
now, she has recorded more than 50 songs in dual language. She
has received 2 awards for her song (Salute to Jokowi) and (One
Love For All) from Global Music Award and won the 'Most Favorite
Female Singer' and 'The Overall Most Favorite’ with almost
40.000 votes from around the world. She also received a
nomination from Utah Music Award and won awards for her songs
from Prestige Music Award, Miami Independent Film Festival,
AWARENESS Film Festival, Los Angeles CineFest and TOFF Festival.
On International Day of Peace 2015, Natasha released her first
album with the title One Love. According to Natasha, she will
dedicate all the money from the album for peace and humanity.
Her album was launched by a well known Hollywood actress and
producer, Alice Krige (Star Trek). On International Day for
Tolerance, Natasha launched her second album called “Cinta Untuk
Semua.” The album was launched by the President Director of
Radio Republic of Indonesia; Dra. Rosarita Niken Widiastuti,
M.Si. Natasha also released a Music Video Album called "Because
I'm a Woman" to inspire all the women in the world to fight for
their rights on gender equality. This album was launched on
International Woman’s Day 2016 by the current Minister of
Environment and Forestry of Indonesia; Siti Nurbaya Bakar,
Social Minister; Khofifah Indar Prawansa.
As an editor, She has edited movies like
(Tears Of Ghost), (Angel), (Dream), (Genderuwo), (School
Fighter) and most of her music videos. Natasha has received
awards as Best Editor for her movies and music videos. Among
that, she has won Gold Award as Best Editor for her film (Tears
Of Ghost) from International Independent Film Awards.
As a producer, Natasha received Best Film in
many festivals around the globe. Including the overall winner
Grand Jury Prize from Amsterdam International Film Festival. She
has produced 14 films till date.
As a songwriter, Natasha has written 20 songs in dual language.
One of her inspiration while writing songs is through her
turmoil like what happened with her song “Smile” that was
written by her in 10 minutes while she was having turmoil about
giving the world the best she could give before returning to God
when her time is up.
Natasha launched her first photo exhibition in January 2016 in
the Auditorium of Radio Republic of Indonesia. The exhibition is
about Indonesian’s beauty. The exhibition called #SAVEINDONESIA.
She said she would love to dedicate all the money that comes
from the selling of her photos for social issues. In March,
Natasha finally received her first photo award from Los Angeles
Cinefest and won the title Best Photo in that competition.
To celebrate the World Environment Day, Natasha launched a music
video called "Song For Nature." This music video is initiated to
bring awareness to the world about how important it is to
protect the world we live in. This followed by another music
video called "Earth" that was launched in September 2016 during
the celebration of United Nation World Peace Day.
During her busy schedules, Natasha still keeps her love for
traveling. She has visited Australia, Asia, Europe, and America.
During her America backpacked touring for four months, she
attended the second inauguration of President Barack Obama in
Washington D. C.
In February 2015, Natasha Dematra received a Royal Princess
title from Surakarta Kingdom for her tremendous achievement in
such a young age. In late 2015, Natasha received another Royal
title from Pakualaman Kingdom. In June 2016, Natasha received
"White Lion" award from the Kingdom of Tallo for her
contribution for the environment. At the end 2016, Natasha
became a Member of The Most Esteemed Royal Family of Puri Agung
Negara Djembrana, Bali for her contribution in culture,
tolerance, and humanity. In early 2017, Natasha received the
Most Outstanding Personalities of 2017 from Puri Agung Negara
Djembrana, Bali for her contribution to promoting peace and love
through her works. Beside this, Natasha has also received many
Humanitarian Award, Environmental Award, and Diversity &
Inclusion Award for her humanitarian work from international
many international institutions.
On the Kartini’s Day, (Kartini is a prominent Indonesian
national heroine who was a pioneer in the area of women’s
rights.) Natasha is given the title of “Modern Kartini” by one
of the leading magazines in Indonesia.
Natasha has been invited to many conferences and festivals to
share her experience and expertise. In which she became the main
speaker at the International Film Festival Conference 2014
sponsored by the Ministry of Youth and Sports. She speaks in
front of thousands of young people and filmmakers around the
world. Natasha became the youngest person to speak at the event.
She was praised by one of the filmmakers from Hollywood who said
that what she was saying at the event worth people to paid for.
She has taught filmmaking at the University of Indonesia in
front of students older than her age. From 2016, Natasha has
become the jury of film festivals around Asia and America.
On the 71st anniversary of Indonesian Independence Day, Natasha
is selected as one of seven spirits of Indonesia by one of the
leading national print newspaper, Wartakota. Uniquely, Natasha
was the only woman to enter the list. In September 2016, Natasha
was appointed as International Director of World Environment
Movement. A social movement to build awareness of the
environment, which was launched by the Minister of Environment
and Forests; Siti Nurbaya Bakar, Minister of Communications and
Information Technology; Rudiantara and Minister of Public Works
and Public Housing; Basuki Hadimuljono. In this month, Natasha
was chosen by Hard Rock FM Bali as their Peace Speaker to talk
about peace. At the Youth Pledge Day, CNN TV made a special
coverage about her and called Natasha as most promising young
Indonesian filmmaker in the world.
Natasha as the Ambassador of People’s Creative Council has
opened her seminar called “How To Be A Star.” The seminar was a
hit with hundreds of people coming in from inside and outside
the country asking her questions among the film industry.
In November 2016, Natasha Dematra as the Ambassador of
environment is invited to come to Marrakesh, Morocco in the
event the United Nations Climate Change Conference. In this
prestigious event, her music film "Earth“ screened for the first
time internationally.
In December 2016, Natasha as human rights ambassador was invited
to speak about the dangers of drugs among young people in the
'Anti-Drugs’ seminar organized by the National Narcotics Agency
(BNN). Natasha again became the youngest speaker at the event.
In this month, Natasha launched the music film “Smile" which is
expected to build awareness about tolerance. “Smile” has become
viral in the social media with more than 100.000 views in less
than 6 weeks. At the same month, Natasha gets 5 Nominations for
her film Tears Of Ghost one of the prestigious film festival,
London International Film Festival. Natasha, once again being
the only female director and youngest director on the list of
Best Director nomination. The leading magazine Femina chose
Natasha as one of the top 50 Women Newsmakers 2016 in the world
along with Hillary Clinton, Melania Trump, Angelina Jolie and
Emma Watson.
In February 2017, the music film “Earth" won the Gold Medal Best
Soundtrack by one of the film festivals in the United States. In
this month, Natasha received Sir Edmund Hillary Awards for her
directing in Tears of Ghost.
Natasha is also very serious about her education by completing
special courses in Humanitarian from Harvard University,
Entrepreneurship from Massachusetts Institute of Technology,
Environment Studies from Curtin University, Counterterrorism
from Leiden University, Diplomacy from the University of London,
Literature from the University of Berkeley, Philosophy from the
University of Edinburg, Music and Song Writing from Berklee
College of Music and much more.
As the Ambassador of tolerance, on International Day for
Tolerance initiated by United Nations. Natasha delivered a
speech to call out to the human tragedy of Rohingya. This speech
took the attention of one of the former US Alternative
Representative to the United Nations, stating that the speech
had touched her heart, and what Natasha said is a thing that
needs to be echoed to the international community, especially
Western countries.
In International Women's Day, Natasha was given the
"Equality Award" for her contribution on promoting gender
equality. Natasha as the International Director of World
Environment Movement partnered with "The Peace Tree"
Organization from Germany to plant trees for peace. This event
was held in Bali with prayers and hope that the that peace would
be spread too all over the world through nature. Natasha
received Royal Title ''Daeng'' from the Kingdom of Tallo,
Makassar. Natasha also received title ''Roro Ayu'' from Keraton
Amarta Bumi, Kendal.
In Kartini's day, Natasha launched a documentary film
PLANET 50-50. This film is launched by Kings and Queens of
Indonesia and Ambassadors from 6 different countries. This film
is a feminism campaign and Natasha's calling that in this
modern era, discrimination towards women still exists. This film
is a full support to United Nation. Until now the film has
received, Silver Medal from
International Independent Film Awards (IIFA), Award of
Recognition from Accolade Global Competition, Gold Award from
California Film Awards 2019.
Natasha again received royal title from the kingdom of Surakarta.
"Kanjeng Mas Ayu" the title was given in a traditional and
sacred ceremony. Natasha received Guardian of Civilization for
her contibution promoting culture and peace, Natasha is the
youngest to received the award. Natasha is given the title
Princess Natasha Johana Dematra from the Puri Agung Blahbatuh.
On October 2018, Natasha launch her book Bikin Film Itu
Gampang: Edisi Smartphone (It's Easy to Make Films: Smartphone
Edition). This book is published by one of the biggest Indonesia
publisher, BIP. According to Natasha, she hope that this book could
be use as a 'bridge' for every generation to voice peace through
art and creative things. Natasha has become the co-founder of
Visions of Peace; an initiative to bring peace towards the young
generations of Indonesia from the age of 5-18 years old.
